I love the idea of competitive philanthropy

By all accounts the DonorsChoose blogger challenge is doing extremely well - it took them just six days to reach $130,000 in donations, which will provide nearly 10,000 students from low income families with books, art supplies, technology, and other resources they need to learn.

I am a teacher who has personally been funded many proposals through Donors Choose and from the Chambers- Beck Family. This works and it is easy. I am so grateful for the generosity people throughout the past couple of years have shown by funding my proposals. Charles Best is a genius!

Good to hear. It is always so helpful to get a report from someone with personal experience.
