This was one of the top 12 wishes Dr Yunus told me abou in Dhaka during my visit during first week of year. I see that following the French launch of Yunus book in the last week, President Sarcosi has ordered the leading HEC Business school to develop a 2 month long curricula of SMBA (Social Mapmakers Business Actions)
Can we connect together a curricula. To start with, is there a thread anywhere in ned that you would send SMBA's to read as a case or clueful conversation, and if so how would you give it a title within some sort of modular curriculum outline

I think we need to work out how to structure a course - you could look at this in week 1 to 8; I have in mind a challenge that each week needs to take students through because Dr Yunus has other way round views than conventional mba
week 3 might go for the jugular of why yunus' book's social ABC introduces 3 opposite way round maps of worldwide sustainability hat enough people need to rehearse if sustainability is to be the whole truth that this first going global generations achieves as its outcome; here we need to understand the urgency of the media and measurement crises of such contexts as sterns' 1% versus 20% exponentials- where stern says invest 1% of national economies to save 20% - what's the 20% of - national economies? the world's population?
perhaps week 4 rounds up what we have reached by half-time to changing from an MBA worldview to an SMBA one; can we see poverty as a failed system; if we end poverty will we have found maps that will also end other human degradations such as war, lack of community healthcare, destruction of nature- is the good news and bad news of all of today's sustainability crises caused primarily by one gigantic system governing and mathematical mistake; if it is can we find in Dr Yunus' course the minimum new ways forward to collaborate around so as to reconcile every socially critical issue; can knowing social ABC help us make the care for changing what we fund; can we agree that none of the 20th C typologies such as corporation, government , NGO, development elite (eg world bank) were in their own boxes systemically designed to end poverty
week 5 might review , as well as add contributions to, new resources such as stock market listing of social business, diaries of social actions searchable by place, and other demographic so we can see what the different community building challenges are from culture to culture as well as spot more similarities in answers than differences; do we have a mass of educators out here who are helping youth wish back the 21st century they'd like to generate given this win-win-win www requires an opposite vision to much of history's geographical separation; making the entrepreneurial most of the 2 systems - real geographical, and virtual non-geographical
week 6 perhaps students now need to start examining each other not individually but do we have a common enough understanding of why samba is opposite to mba; how would we go forth and encourage people at every level of organizations and societies to celebrate humanity with the new smba perspectives
week 7 makes a list of every professional monopoly and evaluates what it has to do to change its pre-connected world business cases and rules to help sustain 21st century
don’t know what week's 8 breakthrough is - what's the biggest challenge in seeing how the future is now spinning opposite ways to history that I haven’t so far linked into?
other stuff to insert somewhere? perhaps week 1 agrees concepts that he defines in ways that are either the opposite of their soundbite media coverage or not connected in interdisciplinary ways relevant to the fundamental change www of becoming more connected than separated - such keywords include entrepreneur, why governing consequence of a system involves other maps than governing by quarterly numbers, the goodwill or trust flowing through a system
perhaps week 2 builds on these new terms and gets the class to make a top 10 list of conventional wisdoms we must hammer on the head and breakthrough to make the circle so much bigger - a topic of yens' 2007 skoll talk; this also relates to don't become a mini-professor of the one guru who has lectured you most; don't want to believe in standards as coming before contexts; be prepared to practice, learn through quick failures and build up rather than wanting to always look perfect and manage from top down

week 3
the benchmark syndicate http://www.tomorrowscompany.com and their allied projects eg http://www.forceforgood.com/ invites ideas on the simpest leaflet on social business that every boardroom member should erad before debating whether social business is for them, or whom else in their industry sector they would rather see do this first
course exercise -write a short leaflet clarifying the exact model of yunus social business and post it at http://www.ned.com or other virtual community space still to be elected (as of may 08)
social business model is a way of raising the more general question of which ownership groups connected to a corporation are in conflict with sustainablity of humanity and what others should do with any such ownership segments
more generally transparency mapmaking research shows http://microcredit.tv/id34.html :
Sustainability Exponentials –A Question of Valuation As a mathematician, and a parent, I am fascinated by maps of organisations as productive and demanding human relationship systems. What excites me most is the core question of goodwill multiplication that can be asked of any growth system- what future is it exponentially compound, up or down. As consequences around our planet become ever more determined by networks (ie systems systems systems...) seeing, ahead of time, what system exponentials are being connected together around peoples futures is the only way I can think of to address the most vital questions of our generation like will we design a win-win-win globalisation in which humanity is sustainable at every locality.
Mapmaking Sub-Questions Whose roles coordinate productive and demanding relationship systems
Whose roles in the future are tensely compatible?
Is there an ownership controversy between quality of purpose and extraction of profit

we could also have fun making a resource list- perhaps 3 columns the yuNus resources; the halfway in betweens; the old world;
yuNus resources during the 30+ years lifework of his and Fazle Abed include 2 Yunus books, 200 hours of video of challenges he has debated in the last 5 years, much of the system perspectives of Gandhi’s truth "satyagraha" course of mapping a world from each community up; clusters of practices in places that culturally reflect the grassroots up approach - as well as what's currently driving the economy of Bangladesh as a nation;
we have Mandela type world which Taddy Blecher's Free University in conjunction with Branson's school of entrepreneurship has been franchising out of Johannesburg;
we have Bottom of the Pyramid search worlds; we have the 250,000 youth alumni of the city Montessori school http://cmseducation.org http://ciseducation.org who have developed a primary syllabus that ensures any child entering adolescence is cross-culturally confident and celebrates diversity in the way they question the world; we have various books that are encouraging people to see that mapping different futures of capitalism is the new democracy to participate production in
the half ways may include people who clearly have devoted their life to ending poverty etc but who have done this with rich funding audiences etc- if I read this review of Jeffrey sachs correctly, then he is a half way resource- what this actually means is his teachings will be an infuriating mix of good ways forward and bad; the first thing to do if we follow de bono is to classify his main instructions in 3 boxes - those we cant decide whether they are the way forward we want to unite the www round http://egrameen.com as well as those we can clarify as either worth 100% identifying with or worth not spending a second of time communally practicing
