Linda, thanks very much for your input in the workspace David made for me :)

I'm very moved by Mae Usu, irrespective of whether or not my big (to me!) project gets the go ahead I'd like to help in some way, if it's only in spreading the word (but I'd like to do more than that).

What strikes me most is the fact that Mae Usu has Internet access, so can connect to the world, yet the girls have no contact with their families for all that time. That's where I'd like to help, somehow.

I discussed this with a friend of mine today, we thought of buying a 500 sheet pack of cheap printing paper and sending it over so the girls could make a newsletter or write personal messages/draw pictures to send home. We were presuming there is a printer, we forgot about the ink, we wondered how the letters would reach the girl's homes. We forgot to wonder if the parents could read!

I have a new Group ready to post, I'll do it in the morning (tired now, I'll make mistakes!), it's to be called the Local Communications Group, it's to be a place to discuss local communication needs and solutions. I'd be really pleased if you were to contribute :) Good night:)
