David, I once read a National Geographic article about an indigenous people living in the mountains of Columbia who refer to us industrialized people as their "younger brothers", as we have yet to understand our relationship with other living things. I think they must have this idea of honoring what each species and each individual contributes to our community well being. I am interested in comparing this thought with other traditions but I do not know if there is any the same.
