The intent of this space is to briefly mention a piece of good news that you intend to build on and invite like-interested people to do likewise

Would it be good news if we could nominate the 10 economists we would like to facebook around this game to debate whether their profession can sustain all productivities and demands made of truth-sustaining human relationship systems (and netwirks as system*system*...)

Very nice idea Chris.

News for the long-term; I am working on an online "university" to nurture the subject of Culture and give it some new wings.

A lot of the preparatory content is in note form ready to be made into an educational "data symphony" as time and funds permit. It is designed to provide a raised level of self-empowerment for those individuals sufficiently interested in improving things (making good things happen) where they live with the resources they have available or could obtain.

This is a venture I never got to input on O.net due to lack of fertile ground and sufficient funding opportunity.

Those with an interest in this subject can PM me about it. Thanks!

I have 3 outstanding memories of culture -perhaps private email on another thread is best if people want a debate on this very rich subject:

philosopher of culture: alfonso lingis asks that we value culture before any other metric; he claims nature uses the way we are smart or dumb in interfacing culture to determine what futures if any are sustainable

a friend (easily introducable to serious cross-culture reconcilers) speaks chinese, japanese, iranian, french and english to name but 5 countries his lifetime has fused. He's now at london branch of ag khan univertsity - a move he made from Japan cos he believes londoners must set world class example in mending east versus west religions; oddly I agree but wish it were not so (cos I cant find enough londoners who want to collaborate on this)

Gandhian and Montessori educators have at least 250000 cases that what you teach and do to children up to 11 determines how cross culturally free or fearsome they grow up to be; a few of our Gandhian satyagraha/truth networks http://www.valuetrue.com/home/ga llery.cfm are openly proposing that educational program needs world weaving now. Looking for one of the global conferencers to agree!

(post's links are top facebook groups- but delighted if you email me an exact ned bookmark you wnated edited in to flow)

some good news: last week we convened a yunus womens power meeting , a sustainability-green revolutionary's energy meeting, The Economist (human system revolution) meeting and a 24 weeks trust-mapping search for 200 collaboration entrepreneurs meetings, and a meeting with that most extraordinary phenomenon: a british government unit blessed with the power to innovate radical experiments in education across the land of the young at heart. The good news was agreement on 3 missing truth knowhow bases. Apart from the fact that they are missing, they are very simple- eg my 10 year old daughter plays them better than all but a few adults. Being curious (not afraid of openly making a mistake) still being natural at her age.

1 how absolute extreme entrepreneurial innovation has always been planted - by which I mean the few inventions in any generation that truly improve the human lot of everyone who gets access to them

2 how you can check whether an innovation and its commercialisation has a bats chance in hell of being such an innovation -using a 10 player roundtable game where each player transparently asks the other 9 whether what they do or want from that invention will over time flow with what her or his role wants systemised (deep democracy or better media clue: make a reality tv or a web game out of this and show how 10 people who claim to care most in the world about an issue actually play it out)

3 depending on how conflict free or conflicted such information flows turn out to be you can work out whether the invention has any sustainability investment exponentials up over time

This is good news because it means we just have time to solve every sustainability crisis today if we are prepared to open source and play these games; playing these games is necessary and sufficient for where all human goodwill compounds as we integrate local and vital contexts into global -- the choice is yours. I'm inviting citizen plays at http://grameen.tv though we'd far rather visit anywhere that wants to try out these games -its just we dont know where corresponding network weavers are until we do some more mapping work or get some help from others who have already found hi-trust communities focused on one open space-like crisis challenge

News: Clinton Global Initiative has taken over Carnegie Hall next thursday for a global citizen ceremony

CitizenConsultancy.com has asked grandmaster community architects Livio & Lee of http://headshift.com to make a proposal for how to diarise all relevant citizen celebrations- ask if you want a copy of the request. It seems time that citizens made a takeover bid for management if you waste a decade of your life in global mancon like I did, you might empathise
