Any ideas how to support the growing Democracy movement in Burma?

Between 50,000 and 100,000 people on the street to ask for basic freedoms.

Soren, The Facebook campaign seems to be gathering a critical mass of support :

Aside from the various events detailed there, maybe one should refuse to trade with any organisation profiting at the expense of Burmese citizens.

170,128 ..... I did a quick test....looks like they are growing at a rate of about 1 person per second right now.

But does it make any impact?

If 174,855 people each did something little but concerted - yeah! Can it be organized? What could it be?

If the number continues to grow at this rate...in two weeks it could be nearly 1.5 million people...

"Any ideas how to support the growing Democracy movement in Burma?"

One way that isn't very high-profile but that does make a huge difference is to write your US Representative and your US Senators, stating your concerns about Burma and what you would like the USA to do in response to such. Letters to congresspeople still carry very big weight. Invite your friends over, order pizza, and haveve a letter-writing party. And while you are at it, make sure they are all registered to vote -- letters from registered voters carry even more weight.
