The deadline is July 14th we have so far contacted as many sponsors and friends as we can though no big response yet

This is text from an email from Kayiwa Fred to David Bale giving details of what KJT has done to date to try to get support and funding for the Norway Cup

I suggest we follow this with an edited version presenting the figures as clearly as possible:

According to our Budget, we had anticipated 20 participants but as time went on we saw we could not make it to 20 we cut the number to 17 and the Budget Items where

1.Registration for team [ covered] 2.Registration for Each Participant which includes accommodation,feeding, and transport with in Norway [ will be covered by UNICEF funding which is a bout 7000 usd for 17 people for 8 days] 3. Passports [Covered by KJT Parents] 4.Visa fee [Covered by KJT] 5.Health Insurance [covered by KJT] 6. jersey full set [ will be covered by UNICEF funding with their logo] 7. Track suites [Will be sponsored by A friend From Norway] 8.Air Tickets its one of the Biggest Item

we have balance of 1 air tickets from Uncef money, we also have been promised 2 air tickets from One local company when we get the visa, we have another 1 Ticket from Kal Our Nowegian Friend we also have 1 free Ticket from Ethiopian Airlines we also have 2 parents who promised 3 Tickets when we saw them the visas this makes 8 air ticktes and we have balance of 9 members to get tickets the thing is we have to raise the money for tickets so soon as Ethiopian Airlines needs money at least some % to be remitted not to council the Booking we have not yet got the UNICEF money but its guaranteed we shall get it but that one is to be paid in Norway we have given out 30 proposals to all banks here, most airlines and all companies but they have written regrets only due to economic crunch its only UNICEF which responded positively and also Ethiopian Airlines responded with discount and 1 free tickets we have been delayed to get others individuals sponsors because we have no visa but we are delayed with visas because we have not paid accommodation fees in Norway and this is UNICEF MONEY to do this but we have not got it if we have 7000$ now we can send it to Norway and we use the UNICEF money to pay the Tickets because each ticket is 1070$ and this is from Entebbe to Oslo

The total cost per person to make this happen is $1,654. (Plus the cost of the track uniforms which are being donated) With current commitments only about $557 per participant is required.
