(Ane, Cheryl and Ahmed in Brussels)

VDBU.org - 1990s Case studies approach to teaching undergraduate students wanting to become entrepreneurs. Institution went bankrupt even though course very popular so new Institution set up to create a community of :

  • mentors
  • entrepreneurs
  • observers

Previous Result Certificate in entrepreneurship

Course now 2010 evolved into Masters degree Entrepreneurship (MAE) in 2010. Offered by non-profit.

Need people to talk to....a community of entrepreneurs to interface with students on the course. Entrepreneurs would be motivated by ? Stakeholders ?

Co-learning, evolutionary experience to create future successful entrepreneurs. Giving them tools to accelerate their development.

Creating online/offline space

Contact with Vleurinck Business School, Leuven that has a project to set up an online entrepreneurial game - interest in project not followed up. And contact with other possible partners. Gap. No formal project agreement.

? NEEDS A PROJECT MANAGER + NEEDS HELP WITH COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

POSSIBLE means to move forward:

  • Hire a Communication Coach;
  • Co-create with an entrepreneur
  • Hire a Project Manager

Guys,

I love this discussion because it touches a topic I am as well trying to contribute to.

My idea is to create an Entrepreneurship school / academy (I've created already something similar: the Leadership Academy). The way I plan to do it: - gather a group of 10-15 entrepreneurs who wish to give back something to the comunity and are ready to dedicate 1 week of their busy time, - open the registrations to young people with a business idea and/or plan, - get them all together for one week in a small place in Romania offering not too many distractions, - the entrepreneurs pay for their own expenses, the young people pay a part of their expenses and the rest comes from funds which are being collected at different events and from sponsors by me.

I am organising a charity dinner on 1st of March 2011 in Luxembourg with the main objective to raise funds for the Clara Moraru scholarship which was launched in June 2010 and given to 6 of the best students in Romania (with results at the international and national student competitions). Depending on how much extra money I will get, it will be decided if the money go to the Leadership Academy or to create the Entrepreneurship Academy. If you are interested in helping / collaborating, just let me know!

Hi Clara

This is Ahmed's idea - best to talk to him for more information.

I have a couple of Romanian contacts who might be interested too - will let them know. Can you provide a website link I can send to them please ?

Clara, I would be interested to know how this develops further. Keep me in mind if you need help in some way. A week working with Romanian entrepreneurs could be interesting...
