What is the File Information Page?
The file information page allows you to see data about a file before choosing to download (or delete) it.
The data includes the name of the member who uploaded the file, so if you have questions about it, you can contact the uploader.
You can also see the size of the file to get an idea of how long it might take to download it.
Finally, you can see a plain text description of what the file contains. In true collaborative spirit, anyone can change the description of a file to make it better.
Files are only accessible by members of the group into which the file was uploaded.
What do the links on the File Information Page bar lead to?
| back: | navigates back to the folder view in the files area |
|---|---|
| download: | puts the file on your computer |
| delete: | deletes the file from the files area (only accessible to the member who uploaded the file originally OR any owner of the group in which the file resides |
What do the buttons under the File Description do?
| Cancel: | returns you back to the folder view |

| Change Description: | |
| updates the description of the file to whatever currently appears in the description text box above | |
| Download: | puts the file on your computer |
