A member of a group on ned.com who has special privileges within the group they own.

These privileges include:

• the ability to manage owners and members of the group, including promoting/demoting ownership and removing members from the group
• the ability to edit and/or delete discussions and comments in the group
• the ability to delete files uploaded to the group

The creator of a group is automatically an owner when the group is fully sponsored. Sponsors of a group are not owners unless invited by an owner. We think it is a good idea to have more than one owner of a group to help with the group management and discussion moderation.
