In the KAMPALA JUNIOR TEAM group we will discuss the plans and ambitions of three remarkable young Ugandans: Kayiwa Fred, Moses Kalanzi and team coach Kabugo

Kayiwa Fred and Kabugo were running a successful football team called Kibuye Juventus, composed mostly of orphans, many of whom live with coach Kabugo. As a result of a Facebook group started by Moses called Boots for a soccer team, the three men are now working together to produce a top quality youth soccer team, the Kampala Junior Team.

Moses is a talented footballer hoping for a professional career in Europe who started collecting and distributing boots and other football kit to local teams while at the same time playing for the Kampala School of Excellence football academy. Recently, he has been working closely with Kayiwa and Kabugo on plans for the KJT to go to Nairobi in August and play in a soccer tournament there. This would mean a lot to the young kids in the KJT teams (aged 7 to 16).

This group will be a place to discuss ways of developing young talent of all kinds, obtaining sponsorship and applying vocational and enterpreneurial skills in furthering their plans. Kayiwa tells me that when talking to Moses and Kabugo about their future plans, he has been amazed to find out how similar all their ambitions are: they share a dream of making a school for kids with gifts of all kinds: for example, for painting and the arts as well as for football. KJT is introducing Acrobatic game starting with next year 2009
