Life in Africa supports community based organizations in Kampala and Gulu (Uganda) through an active presence online at a number of interactive global community platforms. The organization is currently restructuring to expand the delivery of webbed empowerment services to community based organizations across the East Africa region.
In this context, 2 ADMINISTRATORS are required to coordinate community program planning, management and reporting at the newly independent Life in Africa Community Based Organizations in Kampala-Kireka and Gulu. Life in Africa operates in virtual community environments to keep our global supporters and partners updated on LiA-funded programs and organizational activities. The person hired to fill the Community Administrator position will be required to communicate regularly using this and other platforms.

To complete the online application procedure, you will need a typed CV in electronic format that you can upload. You will also need to post a letter of intent that we recommend you type and save as a text document in advance if possible. - Personal details, including name, age, phone number, email address and zone/city of residence in Uganda
- educational details (starting with the highest level obtained)
- Work experience details. For each previous job please include:
- the organization name
- your job title,
- a description of responsibilities held,
- the monthly salary you earned,
- the name and telephone or valid email address of a contact person at the organization with whom your previous employment and salary level can be verified.
- 2 professional references (name, phone number & email address) whom we may contact to verify your character, abilities and working ethics.

All interviews will be held at LiA Kireka on Saturday 1 February 2008. Members of both Life in Africa community governance bodies (from Kireka and Gulu) will be present and a Life in Africa Foundation staff. Please arrive ontime and bring copies of educational certificates with you to the interview to leave with us until the selection process is complete.
LiA Kireka is located in Banda-Kireka (Kampala) Take the Kinawataka-Banda road toward the stadium straight on from Bugolobi (use the Red Chilli turnoff from Old Port Bell Rd) or left from the maram road that passes through Kinawataka. Follow the Kinawataka-Banda road through the swamp and keep a lookout after 1 km for St. Joseph's School on the right. Turn Right at the signpost for St. Joseph's school, turn right again at the first opportunity to do so. Life in Africa is located in the last compound before St. Joseph's School on the right, behind a papyrus fence.
