Life in Africa Funding Pledges

I've created this page to help us (LiA Ambassadors?) keep each other updated on moneys that have been pledged toward Life in Africa programs and where they stand in the process of arriving in Uganda.

Amount Pledged: Craft sale proceeds @ gift fair (1 Dec)

• 09 Nov 07: $2,925 worth of merchandise shipped; shs148,000 from proceeds reimbursable to CJ for shipping;
• 02 DEC 07: awaiting news from 1 Dec craft fair
• 15 DEC 07: $1871 sold; ($62) post-event postage. $1809 deposited in Life in Africa USA account by Shawn, of which $748 for school fees, $86 to CJ (reimbursement for shipping).

Amount Pledged: $500 ($475 after Homowo 5% fiscal sponsorship fee)

• 2 Dec 07: amount was received by Homowo & transferred, but bounced back because our Ugandan bank details have apparently changed; Grace to obtain new bank details.
• 15 Dec 07: Have asked Susan to send a check to Life in Africa USA instead

Designation: Life 4 Kids Club (nutrition)

• 16 Nov 07: request approved by the church committee! Check forthcoming to Life in Africa - USA
• 3 Dec 07: $1500 check is cut, I will give it to Evvy on 4 Dec to deposit.
• 15 Dec 2007: Evvy has brought $1500 with her in cash to be deposited with Peter on Monday.

• 10 Dec 07: At the church's annual Alternative Gift Faire, we sold approximately $500 of beads. Check made out to LIA is on its way.
