As in on the "discussions tab" click "new topic"...or how do you get other members involved in your discussion?

there's no new topic tab as far sa i can see.

Hi Dominique - here you go.

1. Click on Ned Front Porch
2. Then click on the discussions tab.
3. The next page you see has - along the brown toolbar - the following tabs: new topic, overview, most recent, my items and highest rated.
4. That's where the new topic tab is.

Or did the original question you asked actually mean "How do I start a new Group?" (and from that new discussion topics)

As you mentioned earlier on, Ned could do with some photographers and graphic designers throwing some things around.

Thanks Gayle for pointing out the possibility starting a group on that, then again, let's see what the man with the shades has to say about that.

Photographers+video coverage, ofcourse need to know the areas of tour ie the country and say the projects and the people going to tour, hard to tell that all ned members can be there in the tour.

the way howard rheingold's brainstorm communities used to this was to ask every group owner to send into howard (in this case mark) an end of month report -max sixe 5 lines of text - with eg one hot ongoing discussion bookmark and why people in that discussion wanted community-wide contributions; this was then packaged into a newsletter posted to the whole community

First of all, greetings.

Second, I can see you've great passion.

I'm part of BS and can assure you there's no reports to be made every month, rather a nice community of people who got to get to know each other over the years with the added benefit of being a closed network, meaning there's scope to expand on certain levels that might be regarded more personal, while being challenged all the time. Most of us know each other for a good few years now and have struck up a very nice relation.
