:Title: User priorities for 2009 changes to Ned.com :Author: Christina Jordan :Date: Sun, 19 Jul 2009 01:58:27 PDT :URL: http://www.ned.com/group/ned/news/20/ Mark mentioned `here`_ that the time might be ripe to discuss further development of Ned.com, and Jim also `says`_ he has a bit more energy to put into that these days. This is all really good news to me and others who I know would love to see (and put renewed effort into attracting) more Better World Builders in this space engaged in the kind of dynamic dialogue and collaboration that we know is possible. But as Michael rightly `mentioned`_, the `todo list`_ is hard to go through without a sense of the relative cost/effort involved in making those suggestions happen. Given the ever-changing nature of the information ecology "out there" that Ned is inherently a part of, I also think it's realistic to assume that our priorities today might not be what they were 1.5 years ago when the todo list was created. I'm starting this new discussion as a place to consolidate the current ideas and priorities of ned's users (that means YOU!), and would really appreciate Mark and Jim's input here too on whether, how and when some of our desired tweaks might realistically be achieved. Rather than tossing out overwhelming long lists of suggestions, please try to focus your ideas to answer the following question: **What are the top THREE (max) changes that YOU as a ned user would like to see happen at Ned.com?** I'm thinking that if we can compile a current list of suggestions and get a collective sense of the effort/cost involved in implementing them, then perhaps a user poll could get us moving in a positive direction. .. _`here`: http://www.ned.com/group/ned/news/18/2/ .. _`says`: http://www.ned.com/group/ned/news/18/3/ .. _`mentioned`: http://www.ned.com/group/ned/news/18/6/ .. _`todo list`: http://www.ned.com/group/ned/ws/suggestions/
