Loan amount :250,000/=

Loan use: Buying fruits and vegetables.

Loan term: 06 months.

Loan Discription:

Lucy Okello was born in 1955 from Pabbo sub-county in Gulu district (Northern Uganda). Her husband is a carpenter and she grows food as a farmer. When her food crops are harvested, part of it is sold in the market to get school fees and the remaining portion is for home consumption(food)

In her village she grew food on a large scale and always had plenty to sell as well as to feed her family. However, the family was forced to leave their home and move to Gulu where they could be safe from the LRA rebels and have services like schools, hospital and markets that were no longer available due to the war. In town, she and her husband both work tirelessly to sustain their family. She became a member of Life in Africa and has learned the art of rolling paper beads. She earns a little money selling these beads.

She would like to expand her farming business. Fruits and vegetables are the most demanded and expensive things from the market and if she had some capital to invest she could greatly increase her sales and profit. She has been selling at the market for the last two years and she expects that she will be able to earn at least 150,000/= per month.

To accomplish this she is now seeking for a loan amounting to 250,000/= to help get her started. She will be able to repay this loan in 6 months.

Below is her budget for the loan:

Buying 4 baskets.@ 7500/=......60000/=
