Ojok Amos is an Acholi by tribe; He came to Kampala from Pader districts of Northern Uganda due to wars in the region making it unsafe to stay in his village. From Northern region he settled in Banda Acholi Quarters Kampala where he started working in the stone quarry. He later was brought by his friend to join Life in Africa and started making paper beads and also got a job as a security guard. According to him, his life has changed to good.

Amos’s stone quarry is now in high demand. There is a lot of construction and renovation in Kampala and the gravel needs are large. So, he wants to double his profits by producing more trips. He used to produce get 90,000/= as a profit from two trips per month and he has saved 200,000/=. He is requesting a loan for 250,000/= to add to his savings to expand his business to four trips per month. He will be able to repay this loan in 3 months.
