Loan Amount: 250,000/= U shillings.

Loan dicription:

Alur Nighty, is a resident of Layibi Go-down (Layibi Division), found in Gulu district -Northern Uganda. She has 4 children and all of them are in school. Her husband is a peasant farmer who grows crops on a large scale for home consumption and commercial activities.

Nighty's biggest challenge is paying school fees for her children , feeding the farmily and meeting other basic needs for her farmily. Her husband was sick for 4 month and she had to devote much of her time to care for him. But she was able to borrow some capital from her brother to start a business selling dried fish. She was able to repay her brother after only one month and her business continues to do well.

She chose this business because the demand for fish is high in the local community. Nighty now wants to expand this business which will increase her income each month to about 120,000U shillings. This income will provide the school fees and basic needs for the family.

Nighty is seeking a loan in the amount of 250,000/= to finance this expansion. She intends to repay the loan after 6 months with the profits from her business.

The details of her business plan are as follows:

Buying fish.................................................180,000/=(Twice a month.)
