Loan description:

Ayaa Catherine is an Acholi from Gulu. She was forced to moved from there due to the war in the region. She resettled in the IDP camp called the Acholi Quarters and started working in the stone quarry to earn money.

She joined Life in Africa in 2005 and got involved in the community recycling activities. Ayaa is a very hard working person and has a good business mind. She noticed that at the stone quarry, people seems to be so busy that they cannot go back to their homes for lunch. She did a survey and found that many would like to have an eating joint nearby. She feels this would not only be making her an income but would also be serving the community.

A food business is one of the things that will never lack customers. She has managed to put up an eating structure and has also acquired benches. Now she needs to buy food stuff and utensils. She is therefore seeking a loan amounting to 250,000/= that she will repay in six months once given.
