Apio Esther is an Acholi by tribe and is one of the displaced people from the north. Due to northern insurgency, she also flee the region and settled in Acholi quarters one of the places that the king of Buganda gave to them. Eventually she joined life in Africa and started making handcrafts like paper beads and invisible children bracelets. During the transition period, as invisible children bracelets project got independent, she also moved with them but never forgotten life in Africa. She is one of the members who got kiva loan. Her loan amount was five hundred thousand shillings only for a Berber shop but did not do it.
She instead opened a retail shop which is doing very well! She is a good borrower who never disturbed me with repayment as always looked for me with money until finished she has won many customers and very soon wants to operate both a whole sale and retail shop. To do this she is seeking a loan in the amount of 250,000/= to restock the shop. She will repay it in only three months. Below is her budget:
8 boxes of soap @ 13,000/=……………………………………..91,000/=
2 bags of sugar @ 70,000/- ……………………………………..140,000/=
5 liters of cooking oil ……………………………….......21,000/=
Total ……………………………………………………………..............250,000/=
