Atim Grace was born in 1972 at Gulu hospital. Her village is Lalogi which is found in Gulu district Northern Uganda. ( East Africa) . She is a responsible married woman who has 3 children. Two of her children are already in school. Her husband, Laboke Richard, works at the Gulu Independent hospital found in Gulu district.

When Grace was a young girl in secondary school she lost her father. This left her an orphan with no one to pay her school fees so she was forced to stop her studies. Like so many girls in her situation, she married very young so that she would have someone to take care of her. During the bad times of the war she volunteered to take care of children who were night communters. It was here she found Life in Africa and became an active member and participates in many of the income generating programs.

Now to help with expenses like school fees, she wants to start a charcoal business. She has already made contacts with the village where she can buy the charcoal cheaply and then sell it in town at a good profit. Charcoal is in very high demand so she will have a good source of customers.

To start this business she is seeking a loan in the amount of 250,000/= and she will be able to repay this loan in 6 months.
