The Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI)
About the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI)
Vision We stand for a world where we live in integrity with each other and the environment and all people use their unlimited creativity and imagination to create real wealth. We undertake this as part of a global movement for sufficiency and sustainability.
REDI is a Colorado non-profit corporation dedicated to the possibility of well-being. We have undertaken two projects in our pursuit of this goal:
- The REDI Trade Exchange: The trade exchange is a community barter/trade exchange where businesses, non-profits, local governments, families and individuals can trade goods and services with each other using community generated trade credits instead of cash.
- The Local Organizing Project: We are also organizing various groups in the community around the question "What can we do to make our community a better place to live?" towards the end of enabling the groups to find synergies and areas of collaboration with each other rather than competing with each other for scarce resources.
About the REDI Trade Exchange
Mission The Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) uses targeted currencies to build community in the Rocky Mountain region, creating a safe haven for a thriving local economy.
