Kasinja I see that you have a talent for planning. I'm not so good at it myself, I tend to have a hard time picking from my ideas. Your list from planning is a good beginning. It is helpful that Linda made a planning workspace too.

Among the things to do is:

Identify project team structure

Now imagine yourself say five years down the line as owner of a publishing company. The company plans to take on a new and ambitious project and will need to hire five or six new employees. As owner of the company what are some of the things you'd want to know about candidates who apply for the job?

I think that something you would want from each applicant is a resume or curriculum vita.

This seems incredibly boring, and I can't tell you how much I hate the prospects of writing one myself. But I still think that all of you working to make a CV is a good first step. This experience will be useful no matter what comes along in the near future. It's valuable because it's a way to list your individual strengths and see how they fit into your plan; just as you would find such documents useful in determining who to hire when you are the business owner.

Another reason I like the idea of working on a CV or resume is because in order to get support for this project, you'll have to present not only the project but yourselves. Working on presentation skills is important because it takes many, many connections with others in order to find the connections which will make a difference for you.

Linda's suggestion of a Google account is a very good one. Google provides many tools which you may find handy. The thing to do is to set up an email account--I don't think you need an invitation any more, but if you do I have plenty of invitations left, so just PM me with your email address. I have a friend in Iganga and Google works well for him. But a friend in Kampala find that it often doesn't load for him. That's why I say to make an email account and see if it reliable. If it is that's great, because in addition to google documents there are some other really useful tools.
