About

Perry Gruber is founder of Perry Gruber Limited, a socially responsible company delivering dynamic, inspiring, engaging and informative keynote speeches, presentations and events to businesses, universities, conferences and community organizations. Perry’s presentations focus on consciousness, leadership, technology and how these three combine to create new possibilities for business and individuals. These new possibilities are told through humanity’s story, from Perry Gruber’s unique perspective of human beings as co-creators of a continuously unfolding universe, a universe we can create for our individual and collective benefit. A devoted student of corporate social responsibility (CSR), spirituality and enlightened leadership, Perry has developed a unique and inspiring, optimistic view of why people exist, the purpose of business and how people and business together can serve the world. An award winning speaker, Perry speaks to people through universities, conferences, associations and businesses.

Perry’s social entrepreneurial calling came after 25 years serving major public and private sector organizations. As a Marine Corps combat correspondent for nine years, he served his country in a number of places, including the Far East, where his already well-developed and unique approach to life was greatly affected by Buddhist philosophy and Asian culture. Earning his honorable discharge in 1991, Perry took a position at one of the most important federal agencies in the northwestern United States, the Bonneville Power Administration, where he served another nine years. In the last four of those years, he served the agency as its chief media spokesperson. Intel Corporation recruited Perry in 2000 to serve as Intel Oregon Community Relations Manager. Four years later Perry took the position of program and communications manager for Intel’s global Community Solutions program, a CSR program wherein Intel uses its technology to make the world a better place. In that role, Perry drove program development and training as well as his own portfolio of global projects. In 2007, Perry became one of Intel’s first CSR bloggers, blogging for the company on a wide range of CSR topics. Then, in winter 2008, after a deep self-reflection in the summer of the same year, Perry left Intel Corporation to start his own social venture so that he could more authentically communicate his inspiring messages. While many people were mired in the crisis stemming from the worst financial downturn in the US since the Great Depression, Perry choose to see opportunity, and chart a new adventure for himself. That adventure continues…..

Perry holds a BA degree in Management and Organizational Leadership as well as an MBA from George Fox University. He continues his 35-year journey into being through his personal practice, walking his talk through Perry Gruber Limited, and by sharing his ideas in various online communities. Perry’s community service portfolio includes facilitating for the Understanding Racism Foundation, responding to President-Elect Obama’s call for individuals to organize their communities around important local issues, and developing his own non-profit organization. Perry lives in Portland Oregon. He is available to speak at your organization. Contact him at www.perrygruber.com
