About
I believe that we are crashing through many sustainability tipping points and that only networking around Muhammad Yunus can turn this round. Review (1 2 3) his new book's Social ABC provides models that enable us all to Action change for communities, revalue Businesses and exposing the fallibility of economics that is spinning lose-lose-lose globalisation

Questions: info @worldcitizen.tv

I am interested in collaboratively ranking how we chose where to go next. Here are some features that matter to me. If people in this thread add more, I will also paste them into my profile so there is an easy place to see the whole set, as well as a companion blog whose editing life survives beyond the sept 6 deadline of our profiles:
A Is community likely to always be there? examples in my mind include http://takingitglobal.org and http://www.ted.com and the Yunus-Youth community of http://thegreenchildren.org
B Are individuals given enough space to profile?
CAre there enough conversations spaces and overall signposts on front pages so that people with matching action interests can find each other's conversations and develop them over time. Has the community found a way beyond one dominating clique? Is a focus on future project action needs dominant over tabloid chit chat?
D Are conversational build-ups enabled by thread editing features?
E Is correspondence html compatible? Are email circulations enabled in ways that scale?
F Are there any greeting practices or other peer to peer human relations cultural focus designed into this community?
G Does community have some wholly unique facet: what is it and do majority of actively communicating people know and use it in a common way?
H Do people in the community feel collectvely empowered that they invite peers and other communities to join in? Is the community known in the outside world for originating any stuff?

PEOPLE POWER - PP Communities

As those who have talked to open space originator Harrison Owen will know -what is absolutely critical is developing an invitation so that my and your most deeply help opposite view can sit down until associates of http://grameen.tv (or we) find the commonality of human truth agree on (usually somewhere in studying infant rights whereever we have previously managed to meet and mediate a global aid person with an empowerment up project team's wish) resources include- blog of people power http://peoplepower.jp ; the uk invitation to petition world service media to get really localluy grounded on People Power http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/TrustPeoplePower/ ; the facebook group of People Power http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5941075028 Gordon Browns UN Speech on People Power http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_po litics/6924570.stm

THE MULTIBILLIONNAIRE MATHS MISTAKE ...

is it virally spinning in the space you have been invited to discuss milennial and other grand goals of humanity in?

*John Doerr -one of the epicentral persons in venture capital and silicon valley strategies over the world - now also plays one of the pre-eminent roles as Global Village Town Crier http://www.valuetrue.com/home/co mmunity.cfm

Like other folk my dad surveyed for an article in The Economist around the birth of silicon valley JD is a decent man with a decent daughter as anyone who has engaged in ted 2007 will know... and moreover in the eraly days of silicon valley, truth entrepreneurship of compiund future consequences was very different from the the way it virally spins now

Unfortunately living in California which is the world's most opposite infrastructure place to where PP projects need to be done, even this most worthy of citzen hosts collaboration events that sometimes breed the most unintended of consequences

THE ULTIMATE INCONVENIENT TRUTH

I believe you as a PP networker and lover of children's right to life everywhere need to read this new yorker article http://www.newyorker.com/archive /2006/10/30/061030fa_fact1 to form your own view of why eg the likes of billionnaire Pierre Omidyar committed 100 Million dollars of research to Tufts to a microfinance model intended to make 9% profit?- whether the 9 is his target or not this is exactly the opposite of microcredit's (Yunus http://muhammadyunus.org where you can join citizens clubs http://grameen.tv where we all chronicle more PP movements linking in around Yunus incluing the amazingly graceful http://thegreenchildren.org ) original empowement model of profit being reinvested back in to the village community :" system map of banking for the poor" transparently designed round borrowiing credit and developing the most enrepreneurial locally needed projects ever empowered, and doing this through peer circles of 5 women in rural areas where the women wish to spend a life developing family and community needs

We http://worldeconomist.net would argue that Pierre's one economics mistake (dismally of global opinion misleading proportions) is the timescale he defines sustainability investment around - is this how much you take out of the system every 90 days or how much you compound into its expoentially rising development over time- we dicsussed this in the transparency competition hosted by ashoka and omidyar at http://www.changemakers.net/en-u s/node/224 - Maths of Sustain The Exponential - High Trust Audit Mapping Not to know this maths and mapmaking tool is not to be able to participate in any work that improves transparency http:/www.valuetrue.com over time. That much any context truth or - human relations system mapping - mathematician can certify for you

Billion dollar philanthropists do need to have their systemic maps of people power transparently debated every cycle. By definition people empowerment projects involving reconciling the world's most communnaly conflicted systems - if the community's way of sharing life critical info was true over time the rights of children and others would not have disappeared in the first place. If a billionnaire is not able to show how they design systems audited around relentless resolving conflicts, they will have counter-productive effects. The idea of measuring people power projects by can we design 9% profit take out systems could only be made and bred in top of the world communities such as online california billionaire networks.
