About

Hello everyone I'm Susan Milner from Charlotte, NC. This was written about me last week and I thought it was worth sharing as you can get an idea of what I'm all about. Remember I'm a ex-hippy, a dreamer of dreams, looking to make meaningful connections along the way.

As a graduate of the University of New York, Susan initially intended to use her degree in Biology to become a doctor. The lifelong New York native left her beloved state to study medicine at the Island of Grenada. Eventually becoming involved in the Information Technology world. Susan began working with top telecom companies. After moving back to the U.S. from England and retiring, Susan relocated to Charlotte. Throughout her life Susan has always had a get involved spirit, as proven by her relief work and travels to areas like India, Eastern Europe, Jamaica, and Ukraine. She, also, constantly continues her education and has taken classes in Biofuels, Alternative energy resources, and “green” building design. Susan has resided in Charlotte for the past 3 years where she says she loves to energy that Charlotte has to offer.
When Susan attended the Ballantyne Business Breakfast and heard that Charlotte was heading to having a population of 4 million within the next 10-15 years, she began to wonder about all the possibilities, and future newcomers to the area. As she explained that the mayor’s vision is that Charlotte will become the first class international city, she wanted to get involved. After meeting Renata Coker, they began brainstorming. Thus beginning the idea of a television show, Renata in the City. A where to guide to charlotte showcasing the best, new, and interesting places that Charlotte has to offer. The focus is primarily on putting a good face on Charlotte. Helping everyone connect, integrate, and build a strong community with an international angle. When asked about what a newcomer should do, Susan simply put, “get involved.”
